New Corum Admiral’s Cup Challenge 44 Chronograph Watches
The Corum iconic Admiral’s Cup sports collection welcomes two new timepieces – the Corum Admiral’s Cup Challenge 44 Black & Gold – two chronograph models that boast 100-meter water-resistance.
The collection’s signature dodecahedral case measures 44 mm in diameter. It features the bezel and crown crafted from 18K red gold. The case itself is crafted from steel provided with black or gray PVD-coating.
Sized at 44mm, the stainless steel case is PVD coated. The 44 Black& Gold is available in limited edition: 188 pieces with black PVD and black dial and another 128 pieces with gray PVD and brushed gray dial. The 44 Black watch has two dial options-white/black. The watch crown is engraved with Corum’s key and has vulcanized-rubber protection
Four watches actually share the same case and designs except the 44 black &gold boasts rose gold bezel, crown and indications on the dial such as hands and hour markers. Certainly, some people may love the mix of PVD and rose gold-luxurious and bold, but I prefer the plain black/white version which looks particularly cool and not that noisy.
The faceted hands, including those counter hands as well indices, on the dial has lume applied to ensure optimal legibility in places of poor lighting. It has a small seconds subdials at 9. The chronograph30- minute subdial is located at 3 and the 12-hour subdial sits at 6. The date is display at 4.30. There is a date corrector, on the side of the case, at 10 o’clock. Protecting the dial is Corum’s signature cambered twelve-sided sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
New Corum Asmiral’s Cup Challenge 44 chronograph watches are completed by black vulcanized rubber strap fitted with a triple folding clasp. They are water resistant to 100 meters.
